We all face obsticles in our lives. We make plans and those plans go awry. Even when we are pursuing the will of God and acting out of his Spirit in our lives we face challenges. This isnt necessarily an issue of whether we have faith or not. God isnt necessarily stopping us because we are doing the wrong thing, but rather these obsticles may be moving us in the direction He would have us go or may be teaching us.

The Apostle Paul Consider the Apostle Paul. He faced all manor of adversity in his life and ministry. He was arrested, shipwrecked, stoned, chased out of towns, and constantly had people plotting to kill himjust to name a few. The odds were against Paul. Who could possibly endure these trials? Who could possibly survive these challenges to complete their ministry? Christ! Christ living in Paul was his strength and his protection. Paul listened to Gods voice and followed and God guided and protected Paul in his ministry. This was not easy. It required great endurance. Paul writes about this endurance his letter to the Philippians: Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Phil. 3:12-14 Paul pressed on in faith. He continued to endure and strained towards the goal and through that diligent acting in faith he overcame all odds and was richly blessed by God. This was not of Pauls own strength, but the strength of the Holy Spirit living in and flowing through Paul. Diligent acting in faith overcomes all odds and releases Divine Blessing! I leave you with this quote from Calvin Coolidge: Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. –Calvin Coolidge
